THE ASK:

Demo or salvage the existing building and bring the existing space up to date. End goal is to make it more inviting for the customers and the DewCrew.

CHALLENGES:

Keeping the existing building shell was imperative to keep history in the historic neighborhood, rather than start new. Structural and code issues needed to be addressed.

THE ANSWER:

The whole front facade was given a facelift along with a new exterior ramp into the dining room. Existing Dewey's iconic elements such as the checkerboard floor and pizza viewing window were kept as core items and layered into the new design.
