THE ASK:

To curate a space that would bring to life authentic Mexican-style street food along with a mix of music inspired from Bakersfield California - a melting pot of country, blues and rock.

 

CHALLENGES:

The space is very long and narrow. Creating several seating types helped to break up the space and create different experiences.

 

THE ANSWER:

The raw and authentic elements such as the original building brick, cage lights with filament bulbs, reclaimed wood and concrete bar top created a warm and inviting space. Community-style seating and a garage door that opens up to the outdoors added to make the restaurant a lively place to come and stay.
